Throughout the year the Petersen Art Center offers great weekly classes for children in our traditional ongoing format.  These classes are small to provide individualized instruction and they are flexible to meet the needs of your family.  Each class meets once a week for two hours.  The individual nature of the instruction allows students to enroll at any time and also to withdraw at the end of any month.  Tuition is $88.00 per month which includes all materials needed for the class ($80.00 basic tuition and a $8.00 materials fee, see tuition policy).

    We believe that some of our finest artists are still in elementary school.  Our classes for this age group build on their  natural creativity  while providing them with greater skills with which to express themselves.  Most importantly, we always work to build each child's self esteem.
    "Harold Petersen's Art For Kids" is a general art skills program which teaches the same principles which Pete teaches in his adult classes.   The basic principles of drawing and painting are reformatted in a way that is both fun and easy to understand for kids.
