Those students wishing to concentrate on drawing are invited to take any of our painting classes as they also offer complete drawing skills instruction.

Harold Petersen has always emphasized the importance of a solid drawing foundation for all students. Thus all watercolor, colored pencil and oil painting classes teach basic principles including perspective, proportion, and light and shade. For our young students all of Harold Petersen Art for Kids, emphasize drawing skills.

If you are interested in drawing with pencil, charcoal or any of the drawing media we invite you to take any of the many painting classes that are available.  Each instructor in those classes is ready to work with you directly on your drawing skills.  If at a future date you would like to add color and or paint to your study it is an easy transition in any of these classes.
